 Debian Patch Review

Thanks everyone for comments on JDS patch review yesterday. Thanks to lool for the link, I reviewed Debian's pango and vte patches this morning on the way to office. All in all, seems like someone's been doing their homework. Nice!

Who's next? It could be you!

Hi Behdad,

I checked where 04_dsp_non_alias.patch came from, and after some research, it turns out it was added in 2004 to solve Debian bug #251355 where non-antialiased fonts where not displayed properly. The fix was taken directly from GNOME #142640 which is still open.

The upstream bug states that the patch is incorrect and points at a different flaw in vte instead.

Concerning 41_from_upstream_fix_nvi_scrolling.patch, thanks, I've dropped it now.

Thanks for all the cross-refs that were missing in our patches; I've updated the patches to carry the GNOME bug ids now!

Bye,

Hello, Mr.Esfahbod, I found some major bugs in farsitex1.0pre1 under MiKTeX, I solved them with the big help of Mr.Mostafa Vahedi, Now I look for some one who is familiar with making installer, I E-mailed Mr.Shirali and attached him the files that should be replaced with the old ones, he told me that he didn't make the installer, Can you make new farsitex installer for windows with applying the changes that I'll tell you?(based on InstallShieldX system)

Hi Vahid,

I don't have access to any Windows system, so no, I cannot build a new installer. But please send your fixes to farsitex's bug tracking system or mailing list! And you can easily find my email address, use that instead of commenting here about FarsiTeX as I'm not sure if you check it back here or not.
